I use SuSE 9.2 with kde 3.3.2. I have set kde to start juk on login. It will show that it starts with the mouse thing, but it doesn't start. I open a terminal and tried to open it, but get this:
juk: symbol lookup error: /opt/kde3/lib/libartskde.so.1: undefined symbol: _ZTv0_n32_N4Arts16SynthModule_stub11autoSuspendEv
When I try to use artsplay I get this:
*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption: 0x08060880 *** *** glibc detected *** double free or corruption: 0x08060660 *** *** glibc detected *** free(): invalid pointer: 0x080608e0 *** *** glibc detected *** double free or corruption: 0x08060680 *** *** glibc detected *** free(): invalid pointer: 0x08061eb8 *** Can't connect to sound server *** glibc detected *** corrupted double-linked list: 0x080603a8 *** Segmentation fault
What does that mean??? I just upgraded from 9.1 3 DAYS AGO!!!!! The weird thing is, that alsaplayer works FINE! Why does arts crash and why does it blame glibc?? Thanks! -Steven ===========
Have you tried reinstalling your sound card yet? I have found that necessary on a couple of my upgrades. Not sure exactly where your errors are coming from though, odd.
