Seems I may have needed another rpm or to for some dependencies, but I can't remember for sure what they were. I do remember I got them from the same place. I put all the files in a directory by them selves and did a rpm -Uvh *.rpm Downloaded any dependency to the same directory and tried again. I don't remember uninstalling anything first, but I might have.
Hello Doug & Sunny, Thanks for responding. Followed Doug's advice and downloaded Joe Morris's rpm's for the x86_64 and installed them. Kaffeine doesn't want to run and I get an xine Kaffeine error. This is the message: Maybe you don't have enough rights for this, or source doesn't contain data ( e.g. no disc in drive) /dev/dvd I don't have a /dev/dvd I have a /dev/dvdrecorder. Don't know if this is the problem. Yast says it is /dev/hdc, linked to /dev/dvdrecorder, and mount point is /media. There is an entry in fstab. Is it possible to just make a link from hdc to dvd ??
