Hi everyone,
I have just started using SLES 9 and would really like to get UML
(User Mode Linux) working. I have managed to create several UML
servers, but I can not access them and they will not run correctly.
If I start an instance manually with:
/etc/init.d/uml start uml2
It appears to load corectly but crashes with in a few seconds. With
no error messages.
And if I run the /usr/lib/YaST2/bin/start-uml script manually, the
following output results:
lv01:/home/uml3 # /usr/lib/YaST2/bin/start-uml /etc/sysconfig/uml/uml3.conf

Set 'uml3' nonpersistent
Yet if I check the status with "/etc/init.d/uml status", it is
reported as 'dead' and with "ps" it is clearly not running.
To complicate matters, the first UML I made, uml0, does run and
continues to run. But I can't access it. How do I hook a terminal
screen to it or access X Windows on it?
Any help would be great.
Thank you,
-Sam
