Driverloader was the best $20 I ever spent. I think I ran into that problem where it the default gateway didn't work. I edited the /etc/sysconfig/network/routes to default 10.0.0.2 - wlan0 Doug On Sat, 18 Dec 2004 13:23:32 +0800, Hans Neukomm wrote
it may help some of you to solve some wlan problems ..
i use driverloader with full success but for some reason have no routing to the gateway using wlan i use dhcp - all configured wiht yasat on always YOU most current suse version
ifconfig - wlan0 shows up - drivers loaded and the usual configuration is done using yast only
i still have to manually add route to gateway - then all is fine hence i have to enter in bash the command ( example for my present hotspot in use in the PH )
route add default gw 10.0.0.2
i have no idea why and care little because the solution is simple and works always neither "rcnetwork restart" nor reboot changes the need for above procedure
