I was using this fstab line in SuSE 9.1 to automatically connect to a remote NFS export for backups. In 9.2, any attempt to access the mount point just generates the error "No medium found". siva:/local/backup/daily /local/backup/daily subfs fs=nfs,program=/sbin/net-submount,rw,suid,dev,exec,async,hard,intr,ud p,rsize=8192,wsize=8192 0 0
I can change the line to this and then mount and access to the mount point works just fine. siva:/local/backup/weekly /local/backup/weekly nfs rw,suid,dev,exec,async,hard,intr,udp,rsize=8192,wsize=8192 0 0
Any suggestions?
You need to use autofs for this - subfs is for local removable media. You'll find the package and docs on the installation media

The man page for submount has an example of using it this way for NFS. I've had much better luck using it than autofs as the latter has a tendency to hang. I'd really like to figure out how to get subfs and NFS working together again like I had in 9.1. Jason ===========
