I have SuSE 9.2 install and it comes with GTK2 but the
gtk_config script is not is that directory.. and I
don't want to break anything by installing gtk1

I have 9.1, but it is at /opt/gnome/bin/gtk-config.
Mine came from package gtk-devel-1.2.10-877.
