Hi, Yesterday evening I tried to install that samba-version (from the samba-site) on a 9.1 box. I got a dependency-error : libpopt.so.0 is needed for samba-client.... The only file I can find is libpopt.so.1 so I made a link from libpopt.so.0 to libpopt.so.1, and ignored the dependency-error. But the rest of the packages also complain, so I don't trust it to use it. Any ideas to solve this ? I will try it this way this evening, since it's a test-box. Worst case I could compile, but I prefer not. TIA
libpopt.so.0 was omitted from the popt package 9.1 by accident, but was, and is, available via online update. Just delete the symlink first. Regards, Ben
