Greetings all!
Was wondering if anyone knows which version of APIC linux supports? On my bios setup, I have APIC Mode "enabled" and then the next option is "MPS Version Control For OS", which is selectable as either "1.4 or 1.1". Which one is correct for SuSE 9.1, or doesn't it really matter?
I googled, but could not find a answer btw.
Thanks!
Dana
Hope this helps For the SuSE kernel barrabas:/ftp/oct04 # grep -i apic /usr/src/linux-2.6.5-7.95/.config CONFIG_X86_UP_APIC=y CONFIG_X86_UP_IOAPIC=y CONFIG_X86_LOCAL_APIC=y CONFIG_X86_IO_APIC=y For the kernel.org kernel, I have barrabas:/ftp/oct04 # grep -i apic /usr/src/linux-2.6.9-rc3-mm3-VP-T3/.config CONFIG_X86_GOOD_APIC=y CONFIG_X86_UP_APIC=y CONFIG_X86_UP_IOAPIC=y CONFIG_X86_LOCAL_APIC=y CONFIG_X86_IO_APIC=y "dmidecode" only says - APIC (On-chip APIC hardware supported) - and I think my BIOS only has APIC enabled/disabled settings, Asus K7N8X-E motherboard.
