Hello everyobody,
I am trying to clone a OS from an HD to several others. I am using Ghost to clone the HD to an image, and then download the image to another computer. The image upload of the OS works ok with no problems at all. The problem is that when I download the image to the second box, the download works ok but when I try to boot the system GRUB doesn't load (I see only GRUB written in the screen and the box hungs).
Does anybody know how to solve this problem or a workaround to do this task?
Thanks in advance.
Have a lot of fun, André Maia
I've not used g4u myself, but it should do the job. Normally if there is a problem, grub will stop at it's prompt to allow you to fix it, that it hangs seems odd. One suggestion is to boot from CD, choose the boot from disk option and when booted fix grub with grub-install. The grub-install script with 9.1 has an error, it is coded to look in /usr/lib for the stage files, it needs to be altered to look in /boot/grub, however YaST may be the easiest way of setting it up.
