Okay here it is.... I bought SuSe Linux Suport. The (510)XXX-XXXX phone number does not work. The problem with asking you all is, its OS/390 SuSe Linux, there now you know! These are Suse Linux Guests hanging off a Mainframe. Problem: I added 33 3Gig Volumes doing the following: mknod fdasd rebooted and now this beast will not come up. I can only get to it thru the MF VirtManager. It's basically in Maint Mode. This is what I see. Both the O/S filesystems are full and yet there is nothing in /usr. I've already deleted all my work out of /dev and /tmp. I've done fsck and so on. Any thoughts and darn it TIA! Activating swap-devices in /etc/fstab... Adding Swap: 2097136k swap-space (priority 42) ..doneChecking file systems... fsck 1.28 (31-Aug-2002) fsck failed. Please repair manually and reboot. The root file system is currently mounted read-only. To remount it read-write do: bash# mount -n -o remount,rw / Attention: Only CONTROL-D will reboot the system in this maintanance mode. shutdown or reboot will not work. Give root password to login: (none):~ # df df Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on /dev/dasda1 2365444 2163156 82128 97% / /dev/dasdb1 2365444 2163156 82128 97% /usr (none):~ # And when I cd to /usr there are no sub directories. Good one huh? I know it full, I've deleted all of /tmp and all kinds of stuff out of /var. That percentage wont budge. -----Original Message----- From: Mike McMullin [mailto:mwmcmlln@mnsi.net] Sent: Tuesday, October 12, 2004 6:56 PM To: SLE Subject: Re: [SLE] I have SuSe Support, but how? I have SuSe support, they say. I have the CD Case with a few serial numbers. I've tried registering with these serial numbers @ https://portal.suse.com/PM/page/login.pm? dialogId=d-1f813fada6cbd191-00031a8d-o, but no joy! How can I get phone support or web support I paid for, here in the US?
It would help if you could tell us if you purchased the support, which should have included all relevant info, or if you are referring to the support that one receives upon purchasing the product. If it's the latter then you might as well ask here, a good number of the regulars are quite experienced and can help you.
