I tried to install the new kernel update that showed up on YOU today. It appeared to chew on it awhile, and then popped up an ambiguous message that "kernel-[blah] could not be installed" - Nothing else.
Try running 'yast sw_single' from konsole or an xterm. 'yast' alone fires up other modules and blocks their output. Starting a module directly will show some meaningfull text. 'yast --list' for a list of other modules.

You can also do "rpm -qa|grep kernel" to see how much was installed. This seems to be happening to several of use, but in checking some things were installed. It seems to fail on a single file oddly.
