Well, I think its a postfix problem! I have recently set up virus
scanning for my email with amavisd-new and antivir: warning messages
should come to virusalert@localhost (aliased to der@localhost in YaST).
However, /var/log/mail shows the following errors:
"Oct 24 14:28:21 javatux postfix/smtp[5722]: CF2011A62B:
to=, orig_to=,
relay=none, delay=74323, status=deferred (Host or domain name not found.
Name service error for name=riviera.javatux.riviera type=MX: Host not
found, try again)"
"Oct 24 14:28:21 javatux postfix/qmgr[5714]: 0230B1A624:
to=, orig_to=,
relay=none, delay=74323, status=deferred (Host or domain name not found.
Name service error for name=riviera.javatux.riviera type=MX: Host not
found, try again)"
I have a (very) small home network ( 2 laptops, wireless adsl router,
all works with no other problems) and the machine concerned is
javatux.riviera Nowhere have I entered the address
@riviera.javatux.riviera so I don't know where that has come from. I
have made sure that I have the correct address
in /etc/postfix/main.cf, /etc/amavisd.conf and /etc/antivir.conf so what
have I missed? Local delivery is via procmail.
Thanks - I'm really not very good at all this mail stuff!
