No, I mean starting a konsole and running it from there. You won't be able to run them from a non-graphical environment as they are graphical programs, but try starting konsole and typing 'mozilla' and see what error messages are produced
I will try it from the non-graphics command mode and see what I can see. Grub not acting the same, means instead oging right into the graphics that hold the users' names, it asked if I wanted to boot from hard-drive floppy etc.
grub never asks you that. Are you sure you don't have a CD in the drive and it's booting from that?
