Not sure exactly what you mean by this, but if you mean the regular address book, it is stored in $HOME/.kde/share/apps/kabc/
and 2) Recent addresses (usually one-ofs).
Those are stored in kmail's config file, $HOME/.kde/share/config/kmailrc
Is there a way to store both of these address lists on an external media (floppy, CD)?
Just copy those files. Backups are a good thing anyway
