From a previous post, here is the fix for the screensavers:
The solution is to create a couple of symlinks: <snip> ln -s /usr/X11R6/lib/xscreensaver /usr/lib ln -s /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xscreensaver/config/ /etc/xscreensaver That's because kxsrun seems to search for the xscreensavers at the wrong places. I straced this down like this: strace -f kxsrun atlantis 2>&1 |grep atlantis </snip> Mike ------------------------------- Cleary_Mike@emc.com ------------------------------- A wink is as good as a nod to a blind horse. -----Original Message----- From: linux@tendata.com [mailto:linux@tendata.com] Sent: Wednesday, September 01, 2004 2:45 PM To: SLE Subject: [SLE] kde 3.3 missing folders Has anyone found a way to fix the missing folders in KDE 3.3 after an upgrade? I did the Yast upgrade and have the following few issues: 1. Missing all screensavers, though I have a few newones now that work. 2. Open office no longer starts. I can't seem to remember the command from bash either or what the path is to create to. 3. KDE Kernel Configurator error: "no hardware arch. specified..." and nothing to select.
