Monitor/display works great in X (such as right now), but it's when I go to init 3 that the screen appears crazy. So I'm assuming it's something independent of the X settings.
You are right, I am WRONG. Has nothing to do with X. Look into the logon settings for your display, mine is 'vga=0x31A'. A listing of the display modes is @ /usr/src/linux/Documentation/fb/vesafb.txt You might also try when booting inserting the phrase 'vga=normal' just as you would 'init 3' or '3' during the boot process. When you find the correct setting, change the line in /boot/grub/menu.lst -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/photos
