Some questions I hope to get clarified: I wonder if it is possible (and user manageable) to build a free Linux server, preferably on the base of a SuSe Linux Personal Edition (downloaded iso image)? What I think of is extending the latter to something like a Standard Server 8 or small workgroup server, if possible. Are the neccessary server/system packages available for download somewhere, and which extra packages are needed (content list)? Is there more than adding packages that has to be done (eg. compiling the kernel?) to be able to install and configure (setup) the server? And what about the number/limit of users/clients that possibly can access the server, eg. as file server or remote access? Lastly I don't know if client desktop/server network boot is available or if LTSP is possible/neccessary? If there is some user documentation (howto, guide, mail discussions) available that can help doing this task, I should like to know. Thanks, Terje J. Hanssen
