Are you running KDE? If so, just right click on the green icon, at the left end of the panel and select menu editor. Also, there should be a terminal icon on the panel. It's the icon of a monitor, with a shell in front of it. Also, if you've got Konqueror opened to directory, you can hit F4 (in SuSE 9.1), to open a terminal session. Ah ha, but na, the menu I am refering to is the right click menu of the mouse on the desktop. I am sure it is an xml file some where that one can play with?
