I have two different installed 9.1 systems (at two locations, so they don't communicate with each other). On both of them I can start Yast2 from the SuSE menu, and get the root password prompt. On one of them I can also start Yast2 by typing "/sbin/yast2" and get the prompt -- but on the other one I don't get the prompt and so can't use the root-specific functionality. I've checked out the menu properties, and indeed the SuSE menu has the function "/sbin/yast2" associated with it. Anyone have a clue about this? Paul Abrahams
