I have a Mac that I don't use much anymore. It has a 22" monitor with the ADC connector. I'm wondering if anyone had experience with dual-head video cards (VGA and DVI) with a converter on DVI to drive a Mac Monitor. I could sure use the real estate, but it looks like the new video card and converter will set me back $250-300, so I'd like to know if there are any gotchas with this route.
Thx!

There are 10 kinds of people in this world: Those who can count in binary and those who cannot.
Never tried a "pure" Mac monitor before, but as long as you have the spec's for it i don't see why you shouldn't be able to use it. Does Windows recognize it OK via the converter? Why new graphics card? I use two cards (and three monitors) in my box right now. One Matrox G400 DualHead (agp) driving two 19" and one Matrox Millennium (pci) driving a 17" So another pci card in yours wouldn't cost you that much... -- /Rikard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rikard Johnels email : rikjoh@norweb.se Web : http://www.rikjoh.com Mob : +46 735 05 51 01 ------------------------ Public PGP fingerprint ---------------------------- < 15 28 DF 78 67 98 B2 16 1F D3 FD C5 59 D4 B6 78 46 1C EE 56 >
