-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I just upgraded my laptop to SuSE 9.1. I have my software downloads such as OpenOffice upgrades on an NFS mount off my main machine. The UIDs / GIDs on the two machines are identical (I checked). When I go to the share containing the OpenOffice 1.1.2 update as root and try to run ./setup -net I get a message "permission denied". The file has execute privilege, it's owned by my non-privileged UID and a member of group users. Why can't root execute it when connected via NFS from my laptop? It seems like it should run. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFBHNbQjeziQOokQnARAofDAKCU4JBtd/rhW9vMdzOg1G3IwlTJigCfRlHs qM4bFPkUtcmisrvSBWkit/s= =EWpE -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
