Hello, I've been having some problems with SuSE 9.1 crashing, so I checked /var/log/warn. Right after a crash, I found these lines in it: Aug 13 01:13:36 leartes [powersaved][2253]: WARNING in Function ACPI_Interface; line 26: could not set battery alarm, you may need to force polling mode. Aug 13 01:13:39 leartes kernel: hda: drive_cmd: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error } Aug 13 01:13:39 leartes kernel: hda: drive_cmd: error=0x04 { DriveStatusError } Aug 13 01:13:40 leartes kernel: end_request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0 Aug 13 01:13:40 leartes kernel: end_request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0 Aug 13 01:13:40 leartes kernel: hdc: ATAPI 52X CD-ROM CD-R/RW CD-MRW drive, 2048kB Cache Aug 13 01:13:42 leartes ifup: No configuration found for sit0 Aug 13 01:13:48 leartes kernel: mtrr: 0xf0000000,0x4000000 overlaps existing 0xf0000000,0x1000000 Leartes is the hostname of my computer. This seems to be something disk related; could it be a bad driver? Anyone seen this kind of thing before? I usually have this problem when playing music, but it happens occasionally when the computer is just doing nothing. Thanks for any insight into this... Ben
