A couple of options:
1) Format a diskette for FAT and bounce files via it. 2) Create a FAT partition somewhere on (one of) your hard drive(s). It can be mounted read/write under Linux. 3) Use a USB memory stick, again using a FAT file system format.
I have both SuSE 9.1 and XP on my notebook. What I did, was create a FAT 32 partition and moved the XP "My Documents" folder to it. Then I created a symbolic link, called "My Document" from my home directory to that partition. It works well in both directions.
