I am attempting to query some of my servers for statistics such as memory use and availability. However, while I am able to see disk space statistics I am NOT able to see memory statistics. However, the information does appear within the /proc/meminfo file. For example: localhost:~ # snmpwalk -v1 -c 'testcom' -Ou localhost memory enterprises.ucdavis.memory.memIndex.0 = INTEGER: 0 enterprises.ucdavis.memory.memErrorName.0 = STRING: swap enterprises.ucdavis.memory.memTotalSwap.0 = INTEGER: 2 enterprises.ucdavis.memory.memAvailSwap.0 = INTEGER: 0 enterprises.ucdavis.memory.memTotalReal.0 = INTEGER: 90 enterprises.ucdavis.memory.memAvailReal.0 = INTEGER: 0 enterprises.ucdavis.memory.memTotalFree.0 = INTEGER: 0 enterprises.ucdavis.memory.memMinimumSwap.0 = INTEGER: 16000 enterprises.ucdavis.memory.memShared.0 = INTEGER: 0 enterprises.ucdavis.memory.memBuffer.0 = INTEGER: 0 enterprises.ucdavis.memory.memCached.0 = INTEGER: 0 enterprises.ucdavis.memory.memSwapError.0 = INTEGER: 1 enterprises.ucdavis.memory.memSwapErrorMsg.0 = STRING: Running out of swap space (0) localhost:~ # cat /proc/meminfo MemTotal: 93092 kB MemFree: 2440 kB Buffers: 36048 kB Cached: 38636 kB SwapCached: 0 kB Active: 62012 kB Inactive: 18408 kB HighTotal: 0 kB HighFree: 0 kB LowTotal: 93092 kB LowFree: 2440 kB SwapTotal: 131064 kB SwapFree: 131064 kB Dirty: 16 kB Writeback: 0 kB Mapped: 10944 kB Slab: 9048 kB Committed_AS: 13252 kB PageTables: 240 kB VmallocTotal: 416748 kB VmallocUsed: 452 kB VmallocChunk: 416112 kB localhost:~ # Is there some new configuration directives for net-snmp 5.1 that turn this functionality on? Is this a bug? Has anyone else experienced this behavior? Thanks in advance for any assistance! Tony
