I am attempting to rebuild a server that used to be RedHat 7.3 to SuSE 9.1 Pro. Everything is working except my perl CGI scripts. The script that is in question at the moment is one that pulls very large amounts of data from a database and converts it to a format suitable for importing into another software package. It works for small sets of data (lets say about 1 months data = ~100K rows) but anything larger than that the process dies with the following error: ------- Server error! The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Error message: Premature end of script headers: multi_parm.cgi If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster. Error 500 ------- I am not sure how to interpret this error since the exact same program works with smaller data sets. I am sure that it is due to the differences in configuration between the Apache 1 server that it used to run under verses Apache 2. The /var/log/apache2/error.log file is not helpful since it only says: Premature end of script headers: multi_parm.cgi, referer: http://<server>/cgi-bin/sda_interface_launch.cgi I have been searching the web for an answer but have not found one that suits this particular type of problem. I also have not found anything in the apache manual or conf files that might pertain to a large data set issue or possibly a large amount of time (> 10 minutes) type of problem. Anyone have an idea? I'll continue searching while waiting for a response. TIA, Darrell
