** "from the bottom of my heart, off the coast of Carolina, after one or two false starts "** kscd seems to forget to look in local /.cddb file, or internet lookup for the names etc of various discs. even after it's once retrieved them it doesn't seem to remember that it did .. no amount of setting the thing up seems to coax it to use the local .cddb file or look on the net. it's not a huge big deal but really more of a "piff me off a lot" annoyance.. oth , the fact that xmms wont play cds is a real anoyance,in fact kaffeine seems to have taken over the playing of mp3s, but neither will play the oggs, and yes there are all the requisite files installed, unless red-carpet and or yast(2) have messed up and not installed all the dependencies ??? this is w/ a two week old install of 9.1 and the updates as per usual. if kaffeine takes over all the sound, but can't play oggs, is there a file where i can edit that out? ( i don't want it to take over playing mp3s or oggs.. or streamtuner for that matter, but it seems to have done.) and none of the files in my home directory seem to be places where I can revert to the old setup... I haven't delved yet into anything in /etc because it seems that should be a "local" setting , no? -- j -- nemo me impune lacessit
