I'm taking a chance, but you might have to run SuSEconfig after changing. I just selected gdm in YaST2 package manager and set kdm to be removed, and SUSE did the rest, I assume through SuSEconfig. -- Kind regards Hans du Plooy Newington Consulting Services hansdp at newingtoncs dot co dot za
