I had a UPS failure yesterday. Now when I start KDE, the fontsize is about one pixel--enough to see it's there, but not enough to make out with a magnifying glass. I looked at XF86Config, but nothing seemed to be amiss there. The rest of the logon screen looks okay, making adjustments for the lack of space consumed by the text. And when I run VNC from a remote machine, that display looks normal. Where should I look for the cause of this?
Just a guess, but did you look at /var/log/messages? Look for the time immediately before the power outage and after your system recovery. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/photos
