Hi:
I installed the new Nvidia driver, 6106.
When I switch to a text console, the text is still huge extending beyond the right side of the screen, and with green snow. Sometimes the display flickers.
I have tried vga=normal as well, but still broken.
Did you try without "vga=normal" ? Is TV-out enabled in XF86Config ? Is there a TV cable connected to your card ? With these replies I think I'll be able to help you, since I succeeded with my two boxes. Michel
I wrote an extensive documentation of this on the nvidia forum. But no fix.
Bummer!
Am I missing any other things that must be done to fix this?
Also, I am using a flatpanel with DVI interface.
Thanks.

yes also got a bummer console as well getting to be a pain in the rear end now not shure but i think it may be to do with the frame buffer settings but cant work out how to change things , The frame buffer runs at 800x600 but the monitor is native at 1280x1024 which i believe is confusing the hell out of the video card Ge force FX5200
Needs sorting .
