does any body have xcdroast for suse 9.1 yet
Yes. Did you upgrade or fresh install 9.1? If upgrade, you have to reconfigure writer to ATA:1,1,0 (mine is). 9.1 uses atapi writers, unless they are true scsi. Check /boot/grub/menu.lst and see if you have a kernel parameter "hdd=ide-scsi hddlun=0". If so, remove both and replace with hdd=ide-cd. Reboot and retry xcdroast. Should work.
