      SUSE 9.1 cyrus-imapd cyrus-imapd-2.2.3-79
Password for system user cyrus is set and checked with su - cyrus
No changes to the out-of-the box config of cyrus-imapd

Yet, this doesn't work:

cyradm --user cyrus --auth login localhost
IMAP Password:
               Login failed: generic failure at 
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.3/i586-linux-thread-multi/Cyrus/IMAP/Admin.pm 
line 118
cyradm: cannot authenticate to server with login as cyrus

Shouldn't it?  Is there something else that needs to be done?

cyradm --user cyrus --auth login localhost
