I have been using SuSE Pro for servers since version 8.2, which I still run as a router/firewall to my network. I even have a playground 9.0 server that I messed with immensly, running kernel 2.6 and doing all sorts of things onto it and still runs smoothly... For example... I managed to get that server to an almost 50 load and still it managed to get out of the bottleneck and get back to normal without having to reboot it... I ran on it postfix with mysql (for approx 100 users), hosted several web sites, had a quite active ftp server and sometimes used it as workstation... all this on a p3 1ghz with 256mb ram and 2x20gb hdd... I am now in the process of updating all my servers to 9.1 because I believe in the system as a server. I am actually reconfiguring the new server that will be router/firewall and have just installed my playground server onto which I will migrate my old one... And I think the 2.6 kernel will bring a lot of new useful features for network server... since this was their primary development into it... So I'd say go for it... Daniel
