All,
After battling with Adaptec drivers this morning to get the 2.6 kernel to recognize my controller and drives, I ran into another hiccup, which I am hoping someone can assist with.
After the installer builds the ramdisk and checks the rest of the modules, it tries to start yast. The screen flashes black, like it is trying to start X, however the previous screen returns and just sits there.
Running through the Virtual Consoles, I found the following on F8:
Could not init font path element (Shows X11 path)
Fatal Server Error- Server is already active for display 0.
After about 30 seconds, these errors disappear and
I get a full-character display of the install, which is unreadable and unusable.
I have no problem using a text-based yast, since
