Apologies for daft question but I don't understand how to get dialogues "docked" a la the new Gimp way. Asked on a gimp list but I think it was too basic to deserve attention. When I start Gimp, I see the familiar box with options for tools and so on. Except, there is an area below it which is just grey. If I hover the mouse on the upper edge I get a caption which says "you can dock dialogues here". This would be useful. At the moment my desktop is littered with Gimp dialogues, these could/should be tabbed below the main box. I'm sure it's just me being an idiot, will some kind soul tell me how to dock dialogues? An associated problem (forgive me) where/how can I install the Gimp help files?? I looked at http://www.kuhcampus.de/~roman/gimp-help-2/en/ which is fine but... Thanks to James Ogley btw for http://www.usr-local-bin.org from whence I got Gimp in the first place.
