Bingo this solved our problem! By the way what is the system complaining about in these lines: . . Configuring serial ports... ttyS0 at 0x03f8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A ttyS1 at 0x02f8 (irq = 3) is a 16550A modprobe: FATAL: Module char_major_212_0 not found. modprobe: FATAL: Module char_major_212 not found. . .
