when you get to this point, switch to one of the other virtual consoles, using alt-f2, alt-f3, alt-f4 etc. I forget which one, but one of those has a command line where you can partition the drive with fdisk, run mkswap and swapon. Then switch back to the installer with alt-f1 and continue
