I changed fstab as you suggested, I can list the files as root, but still not as user. I chmod the directory 555, does not change permissions even though it says it does. Try SU file manager, if I try to change permissions, it says could not change permissions. This works fine on the hda2 windows partition, so I don't understand what is going on.
