Hi John, Hopefully pinto's suggestions solved your problem. If not two other suggestions: If you are using grub, reboot the machine and when the Linux Splash screen comes up, type 3 and enter it, which should cause the machine to boot into runlevel 3 Log in as root, Then roughhly config the monitor off the Command Line, using either "yast" or "sax -l" If this method doesn't work, another approach would be to use the CD1 or DVD, start as though it was a "new" install, that is put the CD or DVD in, and power-up the computer, only when you get the SuSE screens, select: "Boot an installed system" It should do a hwscan, and detect your "new" monitor.
