Folks, When I boot up on SuSE 9.0 (runlevel 5), the sequence seems to hang when it reaches RCP Portman Daemon. Hang, as in, I have time to go downstairs, pour a cup of coffee, return, and wait another five minutes before I grow impatient, shut down the machine, and reboot into "safe" mode. In safe mode, interestingly, the sequence seems to move through the RCP daemon startup with no trouble. I;m a bit green at this start-up stuff, so have mercy... With best regards, Pete P.S. If I want my pcmcia stuff to start *before* the Linux tries to sense all the network stuff (I'm using wireless on a laptop), what file to I edit to move the pcmcia higher in the sequence? -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peter N.
