I use Suse 9.0 on a Pentium M (Centrino) laptop computer. I have an external U.S Robotics 56k Fax/modem USB connected to it. Via Yast2, in Hardware>Hardware information>USB, I can see that the above modem is found. I have tried to setup the modem, via Yast2 using the devices dev/ttyACM0, dev/ ttyACM1, dev/ttyACM2, dev/ttyACM3, dev/ttyUSB0, but when I dial in, Iusing Kinternet, I get the message "device was not found".
Any hint is welcomed Dimitris
Hi Dimitri, U.S. Robotics doesn't 'officially' support Linux, but they've got a great attitude and a lot of info on their website. Maybe this link will help? http://www.usr.com/search/search-results.asp?query=USB+56K+Fax%2Fmodem&search.x=31&search.y=11 regards, - Carl -- C. E.
