SuSE and power management - ACPI

I seems like my PC make a lot more noice running Linux than Windows. which is a problem since I run Linux 99 pct of the time. I am running SuSE Linux 9.0 with this motherbaord with "ACP": http://www.asus.com/prog/spec.asp?m=P4P800-VM&langs=01 Is SuSE compatible with powermanagement, that can messure temperature and control fan speed on the P4?
