I have a print server on my SMC 7404BRA ADSL router, so I thought I would give it a try. I can find it and print to it with Linux, I can share it with SAMBA and thus see it from Window$ without using the SMC supplied driver. BUT it will insist on throwing an extra page when the print job is done, whether from Linux or Window$. I have thought of the obvious. In Linux it is configured NOT to send a start or end banner. On the whole, I tend to think it is probably the print server has an inappropriately located fix for not finishing a print job in some other operating sytem. Printer is HP LJ 1220, Postscript + PCL, used exclusively in Postscript. It works perfectly on my Linux sever. Can anyone tell me anything I have missed on the Linux side? Thanks Vince Littler
