Hi Adolph & Sharon,
Please point me to the Ghost 8.0 documentation and knowledge base you claim aren't any help.
In the interim, you've said that SuSE 9.0 w/ kde 3.2 was installed on an ext3 partition when the 'image' was taken, but that the 'image' has been 'restored' to an ext2 partition which subsequently has been determined to be corrupted. It may not be possible to overlay an ext3 formatted 'image' onto an ext2 partition (hence the need for you to point me to the docs & kb.) You've got my curiosity up, so I don't mind doing some research for you.
ext3 is just an ext2 partition with the addition of journaling.... You should be able to mount it as an ext2 partition and then later convert it back to ext3. It's pretty trivial to do so.
regards,
- Carl
