I'm trying to compile kernel for my old 386SX with 4MB RAM. I have been trying to compile the 2.4.26 version, but it won't compile for 386. When booting the created floppy it always says that it is compiled for Pentium. My friend told me, that the 2.4.26 kernel no longer supports 386 processors, so i have tried some older kernel (2.0.40) but it always returns errors (in string.h and other files). I searched the web and found that i should use old gcc, on the debian mailing list gcc272 was mentioned, but i couldn't find it anywhere. Has anybody have an idea how to compile kernel for this 386SX with 4MB RAM, or which kernel to use? (i need this computer as DHCP server) Let_Me_Be mailto:SimonT@Seznam.CZ
