Running Suse 9 on a 800 Mhz Pentium PC, I can't get the jumpdrive to work. It's detected (I can see it from suseplugger), but I cant mount /dev/sda1 (or 2). I get an error indicating "mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda2, or too many mounted file systems"
I've read that the hotplug is supposed to detect and insert the device into fstab, but it's not there. /etc/fstab looks like:
/dev/hda3 / reiserfs defaults 1 1 /dev/hda1 /windows/C vfat users,gid=users,umask=0002,iocharset=iso8859-1,code=437 0 0 /dev/hda2 swap swap pri=42 0 0 devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0 proc /proc proc defaults 0 0 usbdevfs /proc/bus/usb usbdevfs noauto 0 0 /dev/cdrecorder /media/cdrecorder auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0 /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0
Any insights would be appeciated.

Have a look at the threads in this forum called Where is my USB removable storage in SuSE 9.0, and Kernel 2.6.5-7 and USB flash disk, and support for Conexant CX88 chipset. All messages posted this month (I think, but pretty sure I'm right). Cheers. -- All Scottish food is based on a dare.
