Curious as to why you used "-i"? You should have used -U or -F to update your already installed KDE. I'm going to guess that since you used -i to install, that you will need to go to YaST2 and reconfigure your sound. If your old info is still there, delete it and start over.

Replying to my own email. I missed the yast -i *.rpm you said you used and was thinking of rpm -i *.rpm instead. Usually doing an update, most use the rpm -Fhv or -Uhv *.rpm on the files. I still believe the resolution is correct in getting your sound going though.
