Has anyone here tried this on 8.2 pro and or 9.0 pro?
With what result? Is there a custome Suse RPM version?
Don't know about rpms but its always compiled easily for me. (on both suse 8.1 and 9.0) ./configure make Then checkinstall (as root) to install it (although I'm sure "make install" would work fine as well)
run kcontrolcenter->System Administration->Login Manager (pre kde3.2) and added fluxbox to the session types. In kde3.2 I think you have to hand edit /etc/opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc Unfortunately some changes came about w kde3.2 and I'm not sure if this is the correct file now.
Just selectFluxbox as the session from the kdm login screen. Fluxbox is nice, I use it when I have problems w/ kde or need to run 2 sessions as the same user (without confusing kde)
