...for lack of a better term. Basically what I need is to get basic tools on a linux based set top box (Dreambox). It comes with the very basics. I want to install rpm on it so I can install rpm based software. To do that I need to build rpm binaries but the box has no compiler. Is there a pre-compiled version of gcc that I can install without having to compile it myself. I'm considering compiling it on my suse box, but the dreambox is ppc based and I've never cross-compiled to a different architecture. Basically I want gcc on it so I can compile my own samba/rpm/utilities. Any hints, suggestions? John Scott
