I have had these problems for a while - when trying to umount or eject the cdrom, i get the mesage"device busy" , although no activities running at that time-neither in the KDE, nor in the shell. Could anybody please help me solve this annoying situation?
I have a similar problem, but I know how I caused it. How do you mount your cd: Off an icon on desktop, Or using run command (alt + F2) or from a shell ( mount /media/cdrom) or some other way ???? What I do, is I have a cdrom icon on my KDE desktop which I use to mount a cd. Because the icon is part of Konq, it have to "exit" that copy of Konq. Which is no big deal, as I have four desktops, and just go to an empty one (or minimize whatever is on one), mount the cd, then when I am done, I close the copy of Konq (using the X in the upper corner) then I can umount the cd using the icon, and then eject it. It takes more time to write this than it does to do it. HAND, Gar -- __________________________________________________________________ Introducing the New Netscape Internet Service.
