Hi, Somehow I think this is a newbie question. If there are some links that I should review please send them on or maybe some of you have a particular Linux reference book you like that I could buy. I have a folder that needs permissions set on it: /usr/local/archive I have groups: users - all users on SLES prod - Production users arch - Archive users The above folder is exported via netatalk as a volume. How do I set: 'prod' read only access to '/usr/local/archive' 'arch' read/write access to '/usr/local/archive' 'users' no access to '/usr/local/archive' What is the permission pecking order? Do SLES permissions over rule netatalk? Mike Brandonisio Chief Technology Officer Mercor Media Inc. Main 312.628.5870 x229 Alt 630.665.5613 http://www.mercormedia.com mbrando@mercormedia.com
